4th of July events in the Sacramento Area

If you guys are brave enough to battle the crowds for the Fourth of July celebrations, here’s a list of some of the events in the major areas in Sacramento.

 

Rancho Cordova

July 3-4th for the 10th Anniversary Party at Hagan Park

Starting Wednesday 4-11pm until Thursday starting at 10am with the parade

$2 per person, children under 5 are free, $10 parking; discount carnival tickets in advance

Events include a kid zone, beer garden, BMX Freestyle shows, zip line ride, exhibits, and more

Concerts featuring Starship with Mickey Thomas, Superlicious (80’s cover band), Crawford Perkes Band, The Soulshakers (Blues/Funk/Rock), Two Steps Down (Young Country)

Parade starts on Coloma Rd at Cordova Lane proceeding west to Chase Drive and left on Rinda Drive (1.5 miles)

Celebration continues at Hagan Park for more family fun. Fireworks start at 9:30pm

Roseville

July 4th in Downtown Roseville

There’s a Run Crime Out of Roseville! 5K Fun Run for all the early birds

Parade starts at 10am at the intersection of Riverside/Vernon/Douglas, continuing along Vernon Street past the Civic Center, turn right on Lincoln St, right onto Park Drive

Royer Park activities at 11am-2pm for carnival games, bounce houses, food vendors, and music by Capitol Pops Concert Band and more

Fireworks at Placer County Fairgrounds at 9:30pm, gates open at 7pm. $5 parking fee

West Sacramento

July 4th for Fourth on the Field at Raley Field

Starting at 6-10pm for family-friendly events with food trucks, live music, and a fireworks extravaganza

$8 for adults, $5 for kids (*the first 1000 children will receive a free ticket w/the advanced purchased of an adult ticket)

BONUS: there’s a Groupon currently available for $19.00 for Sacramento River Cats Baseball Game and Fourth of July Party at Raley Field. This includes a general admission ticket to “Fourth of the Field” and a ticket for Senate-level seating to the game on 7/11 at 7pm. (deal ends tomorrow!)

Elk Grove

July 4th for A Salute to the Red, White, and Blue at Elk Grove Regional Park

Free admission, just at $10 parking fee. Gates open at 7am (enter at the main gate off EG-Florin Rd)

Festivities begin in the evening with live music and food, so bring a blanket and have a picnic or BBQ and enjoy the concert by Innersoul Band

Fireworks begin at 9:30pm

Downtown Sacramento

July 3rd for Red, White, and Brews in Old Sacramento

Starting 7pm-1am, Old Sacramento’s bars will be celebrating with 15 bars in all two blocks featuring live music, comedy, DJs, karaoke, and dancing

Bars participating will be featuring $3 American beers (selection varies at each location; cover charge may be charged)

Fireworks after the River Cats game over the river on Front Street

July 4th for the Cruise on the Hornblower

Departs from the Old Sacramento L Street Dock – first come, first serve. Available at 1:15pm – 5:30pm for $20 per person
