Welcome

Good morning! Thank you for stopping by…

I’m not going to say I’m doing anything different. I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel here. Yes, I’m doing a blog and incorporating all the basics: fitness, beauty, fashion, lifestyle…That doesn’t mean I’m going to do it like everyone else though. It certainly doesn’t mean that anyone will actually read it. You will just have to stay tuned to hear what I think about some of these subjects and make up your own mind.

Here’s what I’m bringing to the table:

{ S O F T B A L L } I am a high school softball coach and private instructor after my day job, but I’ve been a part of the sport for twenty one years! Softball was my number one sport growing up and surpassed basketball and volleyball. It took me a lot of places in the United States and I met tons of teammates, coaches, professional softball players and Olympians in my day. About five years ago, my career as a collegiate softball player was cut short and I started the transition into a softball coach. The game hasn’t changed much, but the mentality of the girls definitely has so join my on my journey.

{ F I T N E S S } Growing up in sports, I aspired to be a Sports Trainer for a big D1 school so I could work with all the athletes. Over the years, I experienced a lot of weird injuries like bruised toe nail and what I like to call “softball thumb.” (What! I was a pitcher, I still get to be weird) These injuries fascinated me and I got to learn a lot about my body and how it works. However, when I got to college I had to start at the basics in Biology and learn about plants and all their phylums. Plants did not excite me. But I digress.

{ B E A U T Y } I didn’t grow up being very girly and my mom didn’t really teach me how to be a girl either. I’ve been slowly but surely been incorporating more feminine things in my everyday routine like makeup..ok I don’t wear makeup everyday and I maybe only made the switch from tinted moisturizer to BB cream recently, but I don’t need a full coverage foundation or anything. I make a point to do my hair every so often and do it well I might add! Haha, but I like to sample new products courtesy of Sephora and experiment with new stuff I find from my InStyle magazines. I’m not in any way a guru, but I make the most of what I got and what I know to look presentable.

{ S A C R A M E N T O } This is my city. I may not agree with it all the time, but it’s still mine. Sacramento is the capitol of California – one of the best states for being so versatile and open to change! Some people who are from Sacramento often lose the magic about it because they don’t know what’s going on. I myself have had to practice this and be aware of what’s going on around me in my own city that has grown on me. I’ll be posting cool events and things that are happening. Hopefully, I inspire you to be aware of what’s going on in your city as well or if you’re in mine, get out there!!!

I’m very sporadic and diverse so there should be something for everyone here or at least you’ll get a laught out of it. Follow or not…your choice.

W E L C O M E to my blog: Serena, Outside the Circle!
